Oklahomans for Responsible Water Policy is urging voters to vote NO in November on State Question 777. Supporters of the amendment call it a ‘Right to Farm’, but that name is meant to deceive because Oklahomans already have right to farm laws.
In reality, State Question 777 is a product being shopped around the country by internationally owned agricultural corporations. The amendment will ban our legislature from passing laws that protect private property against massive agricultural operations like feed lots and rows upon rows of chicken or hog houses.
The proposed amendment is not intended for the citizens of Oklahoma. The intent of SQ777 is to give foreign corporations supremacy over the rights of Oklahoma’s citizens and the people we elect to office.
Why do the international corporations want protection from our elected officials? They don’t want restrictions on what they do with our water.
Vote NO State Question 777.
